Housing
Housing and shelter are basic needs.
Yet 100 million people are now homeless worldwide -- and the numbers are growing. Another 1.6 billion live in substandard housing, and more than one-third of the world’s urban population lives in slums. Here in the U.S., one out of 50 – about 1.5 million – children are homeless each year.
We are able to give a helping hand for renovation projects provide food, build homes, and build relationships with the homeless.
ONElove has initiatives like Mission:Lowell, Grace Soup and [restore] that can lead you into serving locally.
In Haiti, 52-HOMES will offer you the chance to build temporary homes in replacement of very basic tents. We hope that we eventually can build 52 homes every year!
